1.  MANTRAS
Q. Is it okay to practice the fire mantra and the seed mantra technique in meditation? #316
A. You can do both in the same day but you should not do it in the same sitting. Better do the seed mantra (bija mantra) technique in the evening and the fire (Agni) technique in the morning every day.

2.  INITIATION
Q. About 2-3 weeks before my initiation, I experienced terrible emotion, anger, sadness and I was tired. It is a sign of dejection? #316
A. Yes.

3.  ON RATIONALIZATION
Q. I want more clarity on the concept of rationalization. How do we recognize it? For example, sometimes I read novels to induce sleep or to get rid of the sadhana pressure. Is it rationalizing? #323
A. Rationalization is a process of self deception through intellect. It is a common experience for most of the modern people. It shows lack of inner strength to face the truth. It is used to justify some wrongdoing. Very often seekers use it to fool themselves to find justification for not giving up some habits, behavior patterns and ideas. It is not a diversionary tactic. In your case reading novels to induce sleep or to relieve the pressure of psychic churning does not fall in the category of rationalization.
4.  YOGIC ACTION
Q. I feel I know intellectually what is yogic action but I feel I have not attained that state yet. I want to know if I should extend my actions to beyond my attainment in an effort to expand my experience, or should I wait for the yogic process to occur? #323
A. Intellectual understanding of a concept should sincerely be applied to real life situations with discriminatory buddhi yoga. You should not wait for this to happen automatically. Please remember yoga also calls for individual effort. You should consciously try to apply your understanding to action and find out what is the nature of your experience. Keep a note of all such conscious applications and see how you are growing on the path of ascension.
5.  HYPOCRISY
Q. If you try to do what your experience level has yet to attain, then are you not being a hypocrite for reaching beyond your attainment? #323
A. No. When you are trying to do something on the basis of your understanding, it is not hypocrisy. On the contrary, if you do not attempt to do what you have understood, you are in danger of losing that understanding, decay through disuse. Hypocrisy is trying to preach what you are not practicing, advising others without yourself implementing the advice in your own life. There should be sincere attempts on the part of a yogi to expand his/her experience on the basis of understanding. This leads to true knowledge. Your reference to a quote from the Mother Book (not quoted here) in this context is not appropriate.
6.  TRUST
Q. I do not know if taking up health insurance is the right step for me. Is it not investing in the future and not trusting in Divine to take care of me? #323 A. Anything that contributes to mental peace is an aid in yoga. If the fear of future heath issues still bothers you, you should insulate yourself against these worries by taking health insurance rather than bothering Divine to do it for you. As you grow in your consciousness, you will see that you really do not need it. At that time your health will be a concern of others more than your individual concern. Look at me. Do I need any insurance? My living in the body is the necessity of Prakriti and She takes care of this form through so many forms. Even the doctors call me in regular intervals to find out the state of my health. Have you reached this state? Till it is taken care of, you have to take care of it.
7.  ASPIRATION AND ATTAINMENT
Q. I want to know how to balance my aspiration with my attainment. #323
A. Aspiration should be constant and unfailing. It should be independent of attainment. As you attain higher and higher states, keep aspiring more and more. Let your aspiration be for the highest cosmic manifestation through mind, life and body in this life itself. Do not rest on laurels.
8.  ASSISTING OTHERS
Q. How do I direct my thinking to accomplish my life-long dream to assist others in their mission of life? #323
A. The very thought to assist others in their spiritual quest shows that you are from the plane of gods and this life on earth for you is a rare divine gift. I strongly advise you to surrender yourself to an enlightened master who will guide you to your own fulfillment. After this, you will naturally attain what is in your aspiration. May God bless you in your quest.
9.  SIGNIFICANCE OF NAMES
Q. A channel told me that my grandfather (who passed over many years ago) was holding up the sign of a V, but it did not mean peace. My father had told me that I was going to be named after a very significant and victorious battle. Somehow, I feel that my name is relevant and interrelates with my destiny. Can you help me gain insight? #342 A. I am glad to go through your questions and your inner promptings. You are at a great turning point of your life and I feel you should ask all these to me personally when I am in your area.
10.  ANGER
Q. How do I deal with anger when it is so sneaky and hidden? #324 A. Please understand the point of origin of anger. It comes from the lower vital plane, especially when the system is undergoing the cycle of rajas. Most of these bouts of anger in you are not at all desire-prompted. Since you come from the god plane, your system spontaneously revolts against the imperfections around you. Most of the time your mind is not even aware of this sneaky attack of anger. I would strongly advise you to charge your lower vital with pure sattwa energy and a premature break of your rajas cycle. You need to learn the technique of intervention in your guna cycle. At the right time you are going to receive this. In the meantime I would recommend you not to apply the Agni technique on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Please remember this.
11.  SACRED OUTLOOK
Q. What is the surest and fastest way to cultivate and maintain pure vision and sacred outlook? #331
A. Maintain the purity of thought and avoid close social relationships with too much material culture..
12.  LIGHT DURING MEDITATION
Q. When we experience light during meditation, what is actually happening on the subtle level? Where does this light come from? Are there different kinds of lights? How do we maintain it or is this desirable? #331
A. Many yogis see light during meditation. This is a common experience for those who are from the god plane or are able to transcend beyond the transcendental. These lights are forces in the subtle plane and it is real experience. Buddha, Krishna, Jesus, etc. all are different names of the same cosmic force. Depending on the needs of the time, when they manifested on earth plane they have worked on the Mother Earth. All of them are eternally present in this cosmos. When a yogi is ascending he/she comes into contact with these forces of light and the subtle body derives benefit from these cosmic forms. But please remember that seeing or not seeing lights is not a barometer of one's spiritual progress. Depending upon the system of the yogi, one may see the lights, one may see these as visions, one may feel the presence or simply one may just be aware of these. Too much importance should not be given to these flashes/visions, since all these are mere confirmations of one's capacity to ascend. If too much importance is given to these subtle experiences, the yogi runs the risk of being stuck half way to the highest attainment. Please remember that highest attainment is not to see the lights but to become Light itself.
13.  WHERE SOULS GO AFTER DEATH
Q. When someone dies it is said people go to places that support their belief systems. Does this have to do with their group soul? What if people have followed various paths? Does their belief structure include many paths? #331
A. Yes, when the soul leaves the body (someone dies) it goes to the zone of the belief structure. Depending upon the nature of belief/faith, the soul moves to that layer. A person might have gone through many paths in his/her quest but it does not necessarily mean that he had followed many paths. It may be also true that a person was not able to stick to any single path and had spent his life in only searching and examining different paths. When these souls leave the body they move aimlessly in different layers, again entering the earthly plane. The life after death for this category is really a life of pain and total confusion. These souls generally are born with mental retardation and/or become mad during their lifetime. It is always advised therefore, that one should firmly follow one's path with faith and sincerity.
14.  ATTAINING GOD CONSCIOUSNESS
Q. What recommendations or practices besides the WPM do you recommend for attaining God Consciousness now? #331
A. I recommend the path of j–hana and the Yoga Of Transformation. It is a complete path which ensures total transformation of the human system.
